MAKING GOOD MEN BETTER
Freemasonry, a fraternal organization that aims to help men improve their character, morality, truth, and justice. Our brothers are teachers, first responders, elected officials, and business leaders. We live in your neighborhood and seek to be a force for good wherever we are.
WHAT IS FREEMASONRY?
Freemasonry is a brotherhood of men who share one common goal: To help each other become better men. It is the oldest, largest and most widely known fraternal organization in the world. Men from all different backgrounds and walks of life come together as equals and strive to apply the timeless virtues of brotherly love, charity and truth to their everyday lives.

CHARITY

Freemasons and Masonic Charities serve men, women and children of all ages, means and circumstances across Pennsylvania, throughout the United States, and beyond.

THE SQUARE AND COMPASS
The most universal symbol associated with Freemasonry is the square and compass. Commonly, the square is thought to enjoin a man to “act squarely,” meaning being true and honest to his fellow man. The compass is said to remind a man to keep himself in check and not to overindulge in life’s vices. By combining these two key lessons, Freemasonry encourages man to look at himself and keep these lessons in mind during his daily life. The third part of the Masonic symbol is the letter “G” which stands for God, as a belief in a supreme being is a core tenant of Freemasonry.
